Project Introduction:

Changsha rail transit line 5 is the fourth metro line completed and operated by Changsha rail transit (opened simultaneously with line 3). The first-phase project (Shuiduhe station ⇋ Maozhutang station) of the line started work on November 29, 2015, began trial operation on December 30, 2019, opened trial operation on June 28, 2020, the logo color is yellow.

As of June 2020, Changsha Rail Transit Line 5 starts from Maozhutang Station, runs through Yuhua District, Furong District, Kaifu District and Changsha County from south to north, and ends at Shuidu River Station, roughly in a north-south direction.

The first phase of Changsha Metro Line 5 has a total length of 22.5 km, with 18 stations, all of which are underground stations, including 3 transfer stations.

The train uses 6 B train units.
