Project Introduction:

Guangzhou Metro Line 22, an urban rail transit Line in Guangzhou, began full construction on October 31, 2017.

Guangzhou metro line 22 starts from fangcun station, passes through panyu square, qifu new village, guangzhou south station business district, xiling, and ends at wanqingsha station, roughly running north and south.

Guangzhou Metro Line 22 has a total length of 61.3 km, including 36 km from Wanqingsha station to Panyu Square station and 31.4 km from Panyu Square station to Fangcun station, all of which are underground lines.

Set up a total of 10 stations, all for the underground line;

The line uses eight D - type municipal express trains.

According to the plan issued by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on the Planning for the Construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intercity Railway, the northern extension of Guangzhou Metro Line 22 will pass through Fangcun, Guangzhou Baiyun (Tangxi) Station, Renhe and finally reach Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

The northern extension is 39 kilometers long with an investment of 32.5 billion yuan.

The southern extension will extend through the Pearl River Estuary to Dongguan Marina Bay.
