Project Introduction:

Zhangzhou Lantian Airport (IATA: LZO; ICAO: ZULZ), established in 1945, is located in Lantian Street, Jiangyang District. It is the third largest airport in Sichuan, and is the main operating base of the well-known Yanzhou Airlines. It can take off and land Boeing 737-800 and below type. Model passenger aircraft, has opened direct flights from Zhangzhou to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Hangzhou, Haikou, Changsha, Nanning, Xi'an, Kunming, Guiyang, Daocheng Yading, Lanzhou, Lijiang, Nanjing, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, etc. The South Ouya Xuyong Airway near the airport is the only way to the south route to Chengdu, Jiuzhaigou and the north. The Southwest Air Traffic Control Administration has planned to build an air traffic control radar station near the Zhangzhou Airport. In May 2017, new super-large buildings were added to the Lantian Airport Clearance Protection Zone in Zhangzhou, which seriously threatened flight safety. In order to further ensure flight safety, the civil aviation administration has raised the operating standards of Zhangzhou Lantian Airport and Lantian Airport has entered a state of suspension. In order to facilitate the travel of the citizens and promote local economic and social development, the construction of the Zhangzhou Yunlong Airport is expected to reach the test flight conditions in April 2018, ensuring the completion of the transition before July 2018. In order to promote local opening up, transportation and economic development, Cangzhou City proposed to relocate the airport at the end of 2008 and drafted 17 km north of Cangzhou District. The intersection of Shidong Street and Shuangjia Town in Longmatan District and Yunlong Town in Jixian County was the airport. The site is named as Zhangzhou Yunlong Airport. The relocated Jianzhou Yunlong Airport is constructed according to the higher airport standard of the civil aviation flight zone. The flight zone is constructed in 4D and has a domestic and international terminal area with a total area of over 30,000 square meters. After the operation of the new airport, more domestic direct routes will increase the flight density between major cities, and open international routes from Zhangzhou to Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, etc., to achieve the radiance of southern Sichuan and take into account the northern, western and eastern regions. An important dry-line airport in Sichuan and even in the west. It is expected to be put into operation in July 2018. [5] Due to historical reasons and objective conditions, Lantian Airport was built in the low-lying area along the Yangtze River. With the rapid development of the city, the airport is already at the edge of the central city. The deterioration of airport clearance conditions has seriously affected flight safety. The troops and civil aviation flights mostly carry noise in the main city area to interfere with the production and life of the citizens. The airport navigation requirements severely restrict the construction and development of the city. The foggy weather on the Yangtze River affects the normal flight, and the poor connection with the major passages restricts the airport radiation. The expansion of the scope and the conditions around the airport have also restricted the Lantian Airport from further expansion. As a result, the Zhangzhou Airport has been unable to meet the needs of further accelerated development of air transportation in Chenzhou and surrounding areas. It is necessary and urgent to relocate the Zhangzhou Airport. In December 2009, the People's Government of Cangzhou City officially issued the “Notice on Site Protection, Clearance and Electromagnetic Environmental Protection of Cangzhou Airport Relocation Site”, which indicates that the relocation work of Cangzhou Airport has entered a substantive stage. The new airport plans to invest 2.77 billion yuan, which will become the largest airport in southern Sichuan.

On October 28, 2013, the test section of Zhangzhou Yunlong Airport was started. In July 2014, the ground-based treatment test section of the relocated Jianzhou Yunlong Airport passed the assessment. In August 2014, the relocation of the Zhangzhou Yunlong Airport was planned to pass the air review. In April 2016, the civil aviation part of the relocated Jianzhou Yunlong Airport was fully started. In November 2016, the relocation of the flight area of Zhangzhou Yunlong Airport was fully started.
